DR RICHARD AMEY

Co-founder

A founding member of Health of Business, Richard loves getting to the root cause of business problems and putting in place potential solutions to make visible and measurable improvements in what matters to a business. Richard believes that a supportive and fun work environment is a key component of employee wellbeing. Combining this with a clear link between the purpose of an organisation and an employee's role, and execution through sound business processes gives a potent driver of business results.

 

Richard has studied and worked in the life sciences for over 20 years, including 15 years in commercial functions serving the academic, diagnostic & biopharma sectors. His most recent roles have focussed on developing and implementing commercial excellence and business analytics strategies to change how sales teams sell through standardising sales approaches and using structured problem solving and project management to address and overcome business challenges.

 

Richard recently completed Executive Education in Business Analytics - Decision Making Using Data at the University of Cambridge, and has a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Bristol, an MBA in Business Integration from the University of Würzburg, Germany, and Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Biological Sciences from the University of Staffordshire and University of Bath respectively.

ADAM DEAKIN

Co-founder

Adam is a founding member of Health of Business.

The mental wellbeing, motivation and recognition of people is central to how Adam has developed a number of his teams throughout his 15 years commercial leadership within the scientific sector.  His experience is both with direct line management and a complex global commercial structure.

Adam's background combines formal achievements where he obtained a BSc in Forensic Molecular Biology, Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner and Prince 2 project management alongside two entertainment companies operating throughout the UK of which Adam was a founder and director.

Adam's vision is to apply proven business tools and techniques to drastically reduce the amount of people that need to ever seek support.  He firmly believes that mental health is the unspoken pandemic and is calling on organisations to not only speak about this topic but really have the courage to make the necessary changes to alleviate unnecessary stress on individuals whilst delivering improved business outputs in a sustainable way.

AILEEN FARRELL

Co-founder

A founding member of HoB,  Aileen is passionate about helping businesses improve productivity by enabling their workforce appropriately.

 

It was her experience managing people that created a passion for organisational and individual wellbeing. She believes everyone should have the opportunity to grow and advance their careers without compromising on work life balance. Having worked for almost 20 years in both public and private sectors, she has extensive experience in customer facing commercial roles, and sales enablement functions.  Her most recent experience is within the pharmaceutical space where she managed a successful sales team.

 

Aileen holds a B.A in Hospitality Management, a B.A in Psychology and obtained an MSc in Organisational Psychology from Dublin City University in 2014.

Becky Richards

Marketing and Business Development Manager

Marketing and Business Development Manager, Becky is a passionate marketeer with a wealth of experience in the media industry.

 

Having carried out numerous roles within outdoor, digital, radio and print mediums, Becky has a strong understanding of digital and traditional forms of media when creating the marketing mix.

She has also held various sales and marketing roles within the media industry, and has a passion for campaign planning with a focus on business and engagement growth.

“It is important to feel a real passion and connection with a business. The overall mission and vision of Health of Business is something that I believe should be forefront of all business owners minds”

Becky holds two professional qualifications in marketing and obtained a Professional Diploma and Certificate with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
